We want the kids to have fun, but we don’t know what to do…

I’d try Christmassy twists on traditional games, like "Pin the tail on Rudolf" or "Santa Says" instead of Simon Says… maybe a Christmas memory game with ten Christmassy things on a tray… crackers, mistletoe, a stocking… then take one away and they have to say which one? Pass the parcel is an obvious one, with Christmas paper everywhere… maybe little Christmas candy canes in each wrapper? And musical sleep instead of musical statues, where the music plays and they dance, but when it stops you have to pretend to be asleep for Santa coming?

I had lots of fun thinking of games! Just think of traditional ones, then think how you can make them Christmassy. Good luck, and have lots of fun.

I took Kole to the Body’s Exhibit in the Luxor Casino, we were able to see actual human specimens. The exhibit includes all bones, muscles, nerves, arteries, veins and all systems in your body. I also got to show Kole what a smoker’s lung looks like, also cancers, and fetus’s. it was a great learning experience!
Also we went to Caesars Palace to get my new laptop and the kids some computer games

There will be about 75 kids. Any good, somewhat simple ideas that will keep them busy? Also, I would like to have something that they could take home.

i think a good kids craft would be…
1st…break them into groups of about 20
then give each group items like a milk carton, ballon, marker…
tell them to make a boat out of the equipment and see which boat can hold the most amount of eggs

stan loses his girlfriend (wendy) and starts hanging out with the goth kids…
i recorded all the parts were he does…
i do not own this…the episode is called raisins from season 7

Ok, so I have a 9 mos old and a 6yr old boy. Are there any kind of fun things to do in Charlotte/Matthews, NC for the kids? Are there any low cost summer day camps I could put our 6yr old in?

Check out your local library – they usually have a bunch of activities going on in the summer time. Also, if you have the place for it, go and get a little kiddie pool for the back yard and some water guns. Take the kids to McDonald’s once a week to let them run around in the play area in the air conditioning.

Kids in school make fun of me because of who I’m going out with. My gf said to just ignore them because it shudnt bother me. But it does bother me so how do I deal with this?

This was similar to my situation. You just have to ignore it really. If you truly like her, it shouldn’t matter what everybody else thinks. Don’t let them choose who you should love. In 8 years or so…it’s just going to be you and her. <3

I volunteer at my church in Sunday School working with 1st grade through 3rd grade. Before each lesson we have to get the kids pumped up! Do you know any fun games we can play indoors?

You can have them play four corners. What you do is have one kid cover his eyes and guess a corner (1, 2, 3, 4), and if anyone is in the corner he calls, then they are out. Last person in is the person who gets to call the corners in the next round.

I need an idea for what I can do to teach a group of 40 kids (K-3rd grade) about manners. What is a humorous and fun way to do this? Any skit ideas?

i work with 3 yr olds, and i usually use practical examples. ex: during lunch, make up songs on how to ask for juice or food.
i also bought this cute book called please say please (pre-k level), and i make the kids act out what they do wrong, and then i (the book) asks if its wrong to do that (the kids yell out yeeeesss), and then we act out the right way of saying or doing it. another thing you can do is use positive reinforcement. put a board up and write points or stick stickers for every action made with proper manners (identify 5-6 manners u want to work on). i use verbal feedback by easedropping in convos between kids and just shouting out, "great asking" or "wow i love the way you used your napkin", and announcing to the parents (in front of the child) what he did. u couldnt believe how there face lights up when they notice u noticed…just make sure it’s age appropriate.

one book i found for age 4-6 is "Manners can be fun" by munro leaf…check ur local or any online bookstore for children’s books
