What is a funny animal for a pre-school age children’s book?
I’m trying to think of a funny animal character that children will respond well too.
This animal doesn’t get out much but when he does he has a great adventure.
Make one up. Think of two or three of your favorite animals and mix them together. (Guiniroo?) Or an animal that thinks it’s something else is always funny. (Elephant who thinks he’s a lion?)
Children love animals that they can relate to. Ones that they may have at home. That’s why there are so many books about cats and dogs. So maybe the book could be about an adventurous Doguinebit (dog-guinea pig-rabbit) who thinks he’s an every day house cat?
Sorry…I have an over active imagination. I hope I helped a little though.

Skunks are good because they smell kids may find that funny, tortoise slow and old , a mule or a badger

My toddler’s favourite animals are, in order; giraffes, zebras, fish, pigs, and elephants. Make of that what you will.
